About SELECTION & JURY

Finding the Best designer to Inspire future!

The judges, consisting of experts from academia, media, industry, practical fields, and educational institutions, will collaboratively select the most notable figure in Taiwan representing the trends in BIM interior design application. A comprehensive evaluation will encompass design application and technical integration. The judging criteria will be based on the following:

Integration and Information Architecture Planning: The level of detail in integrating application and information in the works.
Depth of Software Application for Practical Work and Design Aesthetics: The depth of software application concerning practical work and design aesthetics.
Visual Arrangement: The aesthetic appeal and level of integration in visual layouts.
Skill and Efficiency in Using Autodesk Revit: Proficiency in using Autodesk Revit and efficiency in its application.

Our Jury.

By collectively harnessing the knowledge and expertise of industry, government, and academia, we aim to focus on and select the most suitable practical projects to represent the promotion and development of the design industry. This will have an impact on the development of the design field in academic education, practical work, media promotion, and industry responsiveness. Furthermore, it will serve as a declaration to the world of Taiwan's strength and influence in the design industry.

Ph.D. in Architecture from Georgia Institute of Technology, M.Arch from UCLA. Currently a professor in the Department of Architecture at National Cheng Kung University, previously served as Department Chair and Dean of the College of Planning and Design. Founded the Interactive Architecture Lab (IA Lab), focusing on the application of digital technology in architectural design. Specializes in Building Information Modeling (BIM), smart buildings, and smart cities.

Taysheng Jeng

NCKU Department of Architecture / Professor

Graduated from Tunghai University Graduate Institute of Architecture, currently the principal of Hefeng Cangfei Design Co., Ltd. and an architect at Zhang Yurui Architects. Specializes in architecture, interior, and landscape design. Excels at integrating natural impressions and elements to create a minimalist aesthetic. Focuses on conceptual evolution, spatial perception, and diverse design approaches to create spatial value for clients and users.

Chang Yu Jui

SOAR Design / Principal Architect

Graduated from Shih Hsin University with a degree in Journalism and holds a Master’s in Management from National Taiwan Normal University. Founded the Beautiful Home media platform, focusing on the value chain of the interior design and architecture industries. Specializes in design business management. Chief editor of the Chinese Interior Design Business Think Tank 100, and author of 8 Essential Business Courses for Designers to Become CEOs.

Chang Li Pao

Cite Media 《Iecosyst》/ Editor-in-Chief

Holds a Master's degree in Construction Engineering from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, with 4 years of experience in software plug-in development for multinational EPC companies. Joined Autodesk in 2011, focusing on advancing the digital transformation ecosystem in the construction industry. Possesses extensive experience in BIM software application and implementation, and is dedicated to promoting BIM adoption in Taiwan.

Orval Tien

Autodesk / Technical Manager

Ph.D. in Architecture from National Cheng Kung University. Specializes in integrating architecture and interior design through BIM-Revit, seamlessly connecting design, construction, and documentation. Focuses on smart design and consulting services. Since 2021, has been leveraging BIM expertise to drive industry upgrades, passing on knowledge while expanding education and consulting services. Additionally, runs the TyarchistudioBIM YouTube channel, providing learning opportunities for BIM users.
